We provide full end-to-end electronic product design, from concept to manufacture:
We develop firmware and embedded software in C across the ESP32, STM32, and PIC families:
We design PCBs from a schematic, or re-engineer them from a legacy board, using Altium 365 PCB design. Boards can be rigid, rigid-flex, or flexible.
Every board is delivered as a complete manufacturing package: BOM generation, Gerber files, pick-and-place files, and full documentation ready for your fabricator and assembler.
Electronic components become obsolete, are superseded by improved versions, or reach a "Last Time Buy" notice. We can help source an equivalent or replacement part where available, or redesign the PCB to integrate revised components.
We also reverse-engineer existing product lines to reduce cost, add the latest components, or introduce new functionality. Redesigning a legacy product can extend its life and help reposition it for a new market.
What does Tomsar Engineering specialise in?
Tomsar Engineering Ltd is a UK electronics design consultancy based in West Yorkshire, specialising in embedded systems (ESP32, STM32, PIC), Altium 365 PCB design, and firmware for commercial and industrial products.
Can Tomsar take my product from concept to manufacture?
Yes. Tomsar supports the full development path — feasibility, electronic and embedded design, PCB layout, prototyping, testing and manufacturing data — taking a product from initial idea through to a manufacture-ready design.
Can Tomsar design a PCB from my schematic?
Yes. Tomsar can take an existing schematic and BOM and create a manufacture-ready PCB layout, including Gerber files, BOM, pick-and-place data and assembly documentation.
Can Tomsar develop embedded firmware?
Yes. Tomsar develops embedded C firmware for ESP32, STM32, and PIC microcontrollers, including real-time control and communication interfaces such as RS-232, I²C, SPI, RS-485 and CAN.
Can Tomsar reverse engineer an old PCB?
Yes. Tomsar can help recreate missing schematics, PCB layout data and Gerber manufacturing files from a physical or legacy circuit board.
Does Tomsar support EMC and CE compliance?
Yes. Tomsar can support design decisions, prototype testing and documentation needed for EMC and CE compliance.
Can Tomsar help with obsolete components?
Yes. Tomsar can identify replacement components or redesign the PCB and firmware where obsolete parts are no longer available.
